Is there a free trial?

Yes. You get 30 days of RoastSource Home free, with no card and no account. After 30 days, if you have not bought Home, the app keeps working as Free: up to 7 active beans, 15 saved roasts, 15 ratings, 2 blend recipes and 3 storage bins, with Java Geek, Brewing, Quick Roast logging, the roast timer and data export still free. Adaptive Roast, the Roast Quality Score, roast insights, SCA cupping, reports and blend iteration need Home.

What roasters does RoastSource work with?

RoastSource has settings for 40+ home roasters, including Fresh Roast SR540/SR800, Behmor, Gene Café, Kaldi, Aillio Bullet and popcorn poppers, plus a custom option. No probe or hardware connection is required. Home holds one roaster profile.

Do I need to create an account?

No account or signup is needed. RoastSource runs in your browser and keeps your data on your device. For a backup or a second device, save a backup file, or on a computer with Chrome or Edge choose a backup folder (which can be a Dropbox, Google Drive or iCloud folder).

What is the Roast Quality Score?

The Roast Quality Score is a 0 to 100 score for how well a roast was carried out, separate from how the cup tastes. It uses what you logged, such as total time, first-crack time, development time after first crack, roast level and weight loss, and shows a plain "where to focus" note. It is included in Home.
